But, it’s impossible to cover all of Alabama music because there are so many talented individuals. We hope this will give the audience a new appreciation for the rich musical heritage in Alabama.” The Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library in Brundidge will celebrate Alabama’s Bicentennial with “Pulitzers and Politics: The Legacies of Harper Lee and George Wallace” and “The History of Alabama Music” at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at the We Piddle Around Theater. Tickets for the Alabama Bicentennial event are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available at the city’s library. Ham and biscuits, cracklin’ bead and sweet tea will be appropriate appetizers for a night of stories and songs.Theresa Trawick, library director, said “Pulitzers and Politics” will be presented by Dr. Wayne Flynt, professor emeritus in the Department of History at Auburn University.
